Temple of Habu

Begin your journey on Luxor's West Bank with a visit to the Temple of Habu, part of the ancient complex of Madinet Habu.

The complex includes the impressive mortuary temple of Ramses III, as well as Hatshepsut's chapel and other important structures. Ramses III, regarded as one of the last great pharaohs of ancient Egypt, ruled for approximately 31 years and led campaigns against the Libyans, Nubians, and Sea Peoples.

The exterior walls of the temple preserve detailed scenes of these military campaigns, while many areas still feature remarkable paintings and colorful decorations.

Deir el-Medina

Continue to Deir el-Medina, the ancient village that was home to the craftsmen and workers responsible for constructing and decorating the royal tombs.

Known in ancient times as the community of the "Workers of the Place of Truth," its inhabitants included stonecutters, carpenters, painters, draftsmen, officials, and guards.

The village contains around seventy houses arranged along a central street and offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily lives of ancient Egyptian workers.

The workers also built beautifully decorated tombs near their homes, featuring scenes that reveal different aspects of everyday life in ancient Egypt.

You will also discover the Temple of Hathor, which was later converted into a monastery during the Coptic period, giving the site its modern name, Deir el-Medina, meaning "Monastery of the Town."

Two tombs are open to the public, along with the Temple of Hathor and panoramic views over the ancient settlement.

At the end of your experience, relax during your private transfer back to your hotel in Luxor.
