This Travel Insurance Policy (“Policy”) explains the role of travel insurance in connection with travel services arranged by Nuvago Travel. Its purpose is to encourage Travelers to obtain appropriate insurance coverage and to clarify the respective responsibilities of the Traveler, the Company, and any third-party insurance provider.
This Policy forms part of the Company’s legal documentation and should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Booking Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Payment Policy, and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to inform Travelers about the importance of travel insurance and to clarify that travel insurance is intended to reduce financial risks associated with unexpected events occurring before or during travel.
Travel insurance may provide financial protection depending on the terms of the selected insurance policy and the insurer’s assessment of any claim.
This Policy applies to all Travelers purchasing or using travel services arranged by Nuvago Travel, regardless of destination, nationality, or travel package.
The Policy applies whether reservations are made through the Company’s website, travel consultants, email, telephone, WhatsApp Business, or any other authorized booking channel.
Nuvago Travel strongly recommends that every Traveler obtain comprehensive travel insurance before commencing any journey.
Travel insurance should ideally remain valid for the entire duration of the trip, including any pre-travel period during which cancellation expenses could arise.
Travelers should carefully review the insurance policy they purchase to understand the scope of coverage, exclusions, claim procedures, policy limits, and applicable conditions.
The extent of insurance coverage depends entirely upon the insurance policy purchased by the Traveler and the contractual terms established by the insurance provider.
Depending upon the selected policy, travel insurance may provide coverage for events including, but not limited to:
The availability of any specific coverage depends exclusively upon the policy issued by the insurance provider.
Each Traveler is solely responsible for determining whether travel insurance is appropriate for their individual circumstances and for selecting insurance that adequately meets their personal travel requirements.
Travelers should ensure that their insurance policy accurately reflects:
Failure to obtain suitable insurance may expose the Traveler to significant financial loss in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Travelers should disclose any pre-existing medical conditions directly to their chosen insurance provider whenever required by the applicable insurance policy.
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may affect insurance coverage or the insurer’s assessment of future claims.
The Company does not assess medical eligibility for insurance coverage and cannot determine whether any medical condition will be accepted by an insurance provider.
Certain travel activities, including but not limited to diving, hot air balloon rides, desert safaris, climbing, water sports, or other adventure activities, may require additional insurance coverage.
Travelers are responsible for confirming with their insurance provider whether such activities are covered before participating.
Where Travelers independently purchase insurance from a third-party insurer, broker, bank, or online insurance platform, the contractual relationship shall exist solely between the Traveler and the insurance provider.
Nuvago Travel shall not be responsible for the terms, coverage, claim decisions, premium calculations, exclusions, or performance of any independently purchased insurance policy.
Any claim relating to a travel insurance policy shall be submitted directly to the relevant insurance provider in accordance with the insurer’s claims procedures, policy terms, and applicable deadlines.
Where reasonably requested by the Traveler, Nuvago Travel may provide supporting booking documentation, payment confirmations, itineraries, or other records necessary to assist the Traveler in preparing an insurance claim. The Company’s assistance shall be limited to providing factual documentation and shall not constitute an assessment of the validity or outcome of any insurance claim.
The Company has no authority to approve, reject, negotiate, or settle insurance claims on behalf of any insurer.
In the event of a medical emergency, accident, theft, loss of travel documents, or any other incident that may give rise to an insurance claim, Travelers should contact their insurance provider or emergency assistance service immediately using the emergency contact details supplied with their insurance policy.
Where operationally possible, Nuvago Travel may provide reasonable assistance in communicating with local Suppliers or providing booking-related information. Such assistance is offered solely as a customer service measure and does not create any legal obligation on the part of the Company to provide emergency response, medical services, financial guarantees, or insurance coverage.
Insurance policies commonly contain exclusions, limitations, deductibles, waiting periods, policy limits, and conditions that may affect eligibility for compensation.
Coverage may be reduced or denied where permitted under the insurance policy, including, for example, where claims arise from undisclosed medical conditions, participation in excluded activities, intoxication, unlawful conduct, failure to comply with policy requirements, or other exclusions specified by the insurer.
Travelers should review their insurance policy carefully before departure and seek clarification directly from the insurance provider regarding any uncertainties.
Travelers may, subject to applicable law and destination requirements, choose to travel without purchasing travel insurance. However, they acknowledge that doing so may expose them to significant financial risks arising from unexpected events before or during their journey.
Where travel insurance is required by law, governmental authorities, airlines, cruise operators, visa authorities, or other Suppliers, the Traveler shall be responsible for obtaining valid insurance prior to travel.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Nuvago Travel does not act as an insurance company, insurance broker, insurance agent, or claims administrator.
Any recommendation to obtain travel insurance is provided solely as a general customer service recommendation intended to encourage prudent travel planning and should not be interpreted as financial, legal, or insurance advice.
Where the Company facilitates access to insurance products offered by an independent provider, the insurance contract shall exist solely between the Traveler and the insurance provider, subject to the insurer’s own contractual terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nuvago Travel shall not be responsible for the issuance, administration, interpretation, performance, cancellation, denial of coverage, claim assessment, or payment of benefits under any travel insurance policy issued by an independent insurance provider.
Nothing contained within this Policy shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
The Company reserves the right to amend this Travel Insurance Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements, regulatory developments, operational practices, or improvements to customer services.
The latest version of this Policy shall be published on the Company’s official website together with the applicable effective date.
This Travel Insurance Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply under applicable law.
The Parties shall make reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute arising under this Policy through amicable discussions. Where a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to the courts having competent jurisdiction in the Arab Republic of Egypt, unless otherwise required by mandatory applicable law.
